Data: “Sir, Lieutenant La Forge’s eyes are far superior to human biological eyes, true?”


Picard: “M-hm.”


Data: “Then why are not all human officers required to have their eyes replaced with cybernetic implants?”


Picard: …


Data: “I see. It is precisely because I am *not* human.”

This is how I feel whenever someone talks about finding a cure [and forcing it] onto all autistics, willing or not.  Particularly if they use the “but those poor low-functioning people that need our help” argument.
